Compilations
Financial statement compilations for internal use and management review.
Financial Statement Compilations
Compilations are usually requested for internal purposes and are based upon information provided by a company's management. They do not offer assurance but may involve some adjustment to accounting records.
A compilation is the most basic level of financial statement service. The CPA presents financial information provided by management in the form of financial statements without providing any assurance on the accuracy of the statements. However, our nonprofit expertise means we can identify potential issues and help ensure your statements are properly formatted according to nonprofit accounting standards.
Even though compilations do not provide assurance, the involvement of a CPA firm with deep nonprofit expertise adds credibility to your financial statements and can help identify accounting issues before they become problems.
When Is a Compilation Appropriate?
- For internal management use and board reporting
- When no third-party assurance is required
- As a cost-effective option for smaller nonprofits
- When adjustments to accounting records may be needed
