Our Story
For more than 30 years, Kundinger, Corder & Montoya, P.C. has been providing audit and tax services exclusively to not-for-profit organizations. We are one of the leading nonprofit accounting firms in Denver.
We presently work with over 190 not-for-profit clients, and our team of professionals brings a wealth of experience to their clients — nine of our professionals have over seven years of experience. In addition, we provide general consulting specific to our client's not-for-profit needs.

Leadership
Steven R. Corder, CPA, CGMA
President and Shareholder
Steve is a former manager at KPMG Peat Marwick who began his public accounting career in 1984 and joined KCM in 1991. Steve is an instructor for various AICPA courses on auditing nonprofit organizations and was a board member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, serving as Board Chair from 2015-2016. Steve is a graduate of the University of Nebraska.
Maria M. Montoya, CPA
Managing Director and Shareholder
Maria joined KCM in July 1998 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Accounting from Regis University. Maria became a Director of the firm in 2010 and Managing Director on January 1, 2022. She currently serves on the board of Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, the Finance Committee of Mile High United Way, and the Leadership Advisory Committee of the Colorado Nonprofit Association.
Thomas J. Kundinger
Retired, Former Managing Director and Shareholder
Tom practiced public accounting since 1968 and was formerly the partner-in-charge of the nonprofit practice at KPMG Peat Marwick-Denver before starting KCM in 1991. Tom is a past-president of the Colorado Society of CPAs and a former instructor for AICPA and FASB courses on accounting for nonprofit organizations.
